When you think of an island legend, you will hear the name John Munroe. John has been in the real estate business on Bald Head for over 25 years. Born in Whiteville, NC, John moved to Southport in 1997 and soon fell in love with BHI-first purchasing a lot on Elephant’s Foot Trail, then a house in 2002 and finally moving here full time in 2010. Although John started his working life in sporting goods and insurance, his older brother (who was in real estate on the Island) encouraged John to consider joining him and after that, John never looked back! John was BHI Limited’s Salesperson of the Year for six years in a row between 1999 and 2009. Then John joined Wendy Wilmot Properties (in 2010) and since then has been one of the top two agents Island-wide every year! John prides himself on getting to know his clients so he can understand their needs and providing them service even after a sale. John enjoys being with his three daughters- Sylvia (who followed her dad’s footsteps into real estate in Southern Pines), Johnanna (an ICU nurse at Duke) and Ali (a nurse practitioner in New Bern) and as well as his wife, Brandy, and their two dogs, Fin and Nor. John loves the outdoors, especially golfing and offshore fishing. Lindsay Farris
Originally from the foothills of the mountains of North Carolina, Lindsay moved to the coast after graduating from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2005. Working on Bald Head was Lindsay’s first job when she arrived and she immersed herself into the island culture by working at several different popular establishments. Lindsay began her career in real estate in 2014 and immediately discovered her love for helping clients become friends and eventually becoming homeowners on this little slice of heaven. Our team is consistently striving to educate buyers and sellers and with a combined 30 years of island sales, the John Munroe Team has a history of being number one in sales.Lindsay can be found in downtown Southport walking her rescue dogs Lucille and Lokie or sipping at the local wine bars and inshore fishing for the seasons catch.
